Heartland AEA Programs and Services
Core Services
Core services are those that are available to all districts. Some of these services are mandated services and must be provided in the manner directed by some type of rule, regulation, or state direction. Some are services within the nine standard areas required in Chapter 72 where the AEA is required to provide the service, but we have more discretion as to which services we will provide to meet the standard and/or how the service will be delivered. Core services are categorized by those available for students, educators, leaders, and parents.
Students
Services provided to students. The student is the primary client and recipient of the services. The purpose of the service is to improve student achievement.
Educators
Services provided to educators. The educators are the primary recipients of the services, but the services are intended to benefit students and increase student achievement.
Leaders
Services designed specifically for leaders. While leaders may also use services for educators, these services are designed specifically for school leaders.
Parents
Services designed specifically for parents. Their children may be receiving services, but these are services where the parent or family is the primary recipient.
